Expressing anger in a constructive way and letting go of the self-hate helps one heal.

Lord, I forgive Me and Me
Lord, For being afraid of me,
For hating and loathing me,
I forgive me for being me.
No longer will I beat me up for being me.
For taking so long to recognize me,
For insisting on options I knew were not me,
I forgive me for being me.
No longer will I beat me up for being me.
For dehumanizing me and for dehumanizing me.
For not protecting others like me.
I forgive me for being me.
No longer will I beat me up for being me.
For dreams lost and crushed,
For feeling I am nobody and deserve nothing,
I forgive me for being me.
No longer will I beat me up for being me.
For refusing happiness and joy,
For using work to escape from me,
I forgive me for being me.
No longer will I beat me up for being me.
For worshipping with those who hate me and the damn me,
I forgive me for being me.
No longer will I beat me up for being me.
Because I choose to respect me and to respect me,
I choose to treat me better today.
I have forgiven me for being me.
Today will I not beat me up for being me.
Help me live forgiveness today.
Help me live forgiveness today.
